Rock Church Construction INC has been working hard to restore the windows and doors of two of our 1840s Cornish cottages, Pendarvis and Polperro. Some of my ancestors lived in the small Pendarvis Bldg.

Please correct me if I don’t have the facts correct. My Grandmother told me it was called shake rag street as women would shake a white dish towel at noon to call the men to the noon meal. We did this on our farm in SW Wisconsin when I was little. In SW the noon meal is called dinner while on the west coast it is called lunch.
